It’s an amazing gift to be able to make an audience belly laugh before you’ve even walked onto the stage and there are a number of times when Eric Morecambe achieved this. Often he was assisted by some kind of quirky prop… an extra large puppet… a sign… or even the stage curtain itself. But really it was the use of props and their association with Eric that made people laugh.
