As the live band began to blast their music across the stage and the glorious outfits appeared in their dance positions – stage left – stage right – the excitement grew and so did the audience’s curiosity as to precisely who might appear from behind the curtain alongside Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise.

You could always predict that something was going to go wrong and it would usually be Eric Morecambe who made the ludicrous situations comedy gold and thanks to Ernie Wise doing his best to present them BOTH as talented professionals this mockery quickly went from quite funny to absolutely hilarious.

Well the truth is they were both extremely talented and Ernie Wise was a professional dancer in his own right. Eric Morecambe’s comical timing made grown men cry with joy. This celebrited card is inspired by a Morecambe and Wise routine that virtually became a genre in itself. I really had to pay a tribute to these fond memories.
