Eric Morecambe is a name that for me conjures all sorts of emotions and memories. Perhaps that is the same for you too. I knew both the public man and the private man and yes it’s fair to say they were pretty similar (sillyness was something that came naturally to him) but there was a  glaring difference; I never saw dad wearing costumes like the ones that were written into Ernie Wise’s “plays what he wrote”. My celebrited range pay homage to the funny and sometimes ridiculous props and outfits we laughed at on Morecambe and Wise shows.
