Say it with a teddy bear… whatever your message… Christmas, birthdays, get well soon cards… a teddy bear says it all… and an Eric Morecambe teddy bear says it with style! Where would childhood be without teddy bears and where would comedy be without Morecambe and Wise. That might seem an odd comparison but I am often surprised at the number of modern day comics who still draw upon Eric Morecambe for comical inspiration and guidance. Sure comedy was around before Morecambe and Wise (or so I’m told) but there was a fundamental change in the style associated with British comedy post Eric Morecambe – and I’m not just saying that. There’s an extensive list of comics who are influenced by Eric Morecambe and the era of comedy that it ushered in.
